Evaluation of Subsurface Heat Capacity through Oscillatory Thermal Response Tests

چکیده
Two methods are currently available to estimate in a relatively short time span the subsurface heat capacity: (1) laboratory analysis of rock/soil samples; (2) measure diffusion with temperature sensors an observation well. Since first may not be representative in-situ conditions, and second imply economical logistical issues, third option might possible by means so-called oscillatory thermal response tests (OTRT). Geothermal Vertical Effects in Thermal Response Tests
We present analytical solutions for the temperature around the borehole heat exchanger which account for: (I) finite length line-source; (II) natural vertical gradient of the ground temperature; (III) arbitrary changes of the ground surface temperature. We find that the time-dependent part of the solution decays as a power of the time approaching the steady state limit. The long-time limit and ...

Alternatives to time-consuming, laborious individual serving capacity tests (ISCT) are needed to classify ram sexual behavior. The objective of study 1 was to evaluate the relationship between the first 3-ram cohort test (COSCT) scores and the mean of 5 ISCT scores. The objective of study 2 was to determine whether 1 or 2 additional COSCT improved the ability to predict ISCT scores. For study 1...

This report presents UCB progress in developing a comprehensive thermal and fluid dynamics model for the NGNP intermediate heat exchanger (IHX) and other compact heat exchangers. For nuclear hydrogen applications, an IHX is required to transfer heat from high temperature and high-pressure primary helium coolant to a hydrogen production process. An intermediate heat transfer loop is used for the...
متن کاملthe effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test
in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...
